Uncovering The Merchant’s Secret by Elisabeth Hobbes
Uncovering The Merchant’s Secret by Elisabeth Hobbes was published last month, a few days before I was able to borrow it from the library. I’m really impressed how fast the library service got the book. I knew they will have it, as they listed the book even before it was published and I reserved it, so I was the first one to read this copy.
The story takes place in Brittany, in medieval period. Here Jack Langdon is saved by Blanche Tanet, a widow, from a shipwreck. He is a widower too, but when he is saved he has no memory of his past life. The book is a bit dark, for a Mills & Boon novel, but I’ve enjoyed it. Blanche’s past is not something I would have imagined to read about in a book like this. It is worth reading.

I’m guessing maybe a bit too much romance for me, but in a historical fiction setting I can get over that. 😉 I’ll have to look up this author.
