The Viscount Who Loved Me by Julia Quinn
The Viscount Who Loved Me by Julia Quinn is the second book in the Bridgerton series. At the end of the post is a list with all the books, in order which they should be read, with links on my reviews. Of course I will update the list with the links to the new reviews as I publish them.
In the first book we saw the love story of Daphne, now it’s the love story of her older brother, Anthony Bridgerton. He has decided that he wants to marry and picked one of the most beautiful debutantes. He falls in love with her older sister, Kate and has to make an important decision: marry for love or not.
I did enjoy the book, but as the first one, I can’t give it 5 stars. Some of the little things they do are so unrealistic for the time period that I have to deduct half of star. Because they are siblings, Daphne appears in this book with her husband, not so much as in Mary Balough’s books, but the mentions are great.

About the author: Julia Quinn’s story is a bit different. Her writing career started during her senior year at Harvard College. While she was deciding what to do next in her career, eating ice cream and reading a novel, she thought she could write a novel too.
After two yeas, as she was deciding between Yale School of Medicine and Columbia College of Physicians & Surgeons, her agent told her that her first two books were the subject of a bidding war between two publishing houses. She put the medical school on hold and wrote another one. The following year she did the same again. Finally she went to medical school, just to realize a few months later that it wasn’t for her. She withdrew and never looked back.
