His Convenient Highland Wedding by Janice Preston
His Convenient Highland Wedding by Janice Preston is the first book in the The Lochmore Legacy series, a book written by another author. I loved the idea behind this and so, I wanted to read all four. By the time I’m publishing this review I already read all three books which follow this one in the series.
From these four authors I know Elisabeth Hobbes, as in I read all of her books. I was curious if, by the end of this series, I will find another author I’d love.
Janice Preston’s style is not necessarily my cup of tea. The story had potential and I liked most of it, but there were some things that were a bit ‘meh’, such as a the ghosty thing at the end of the book. I don’t like when authors step into fantasy. For me, this takes from the whole story. I took half of star out for this thing. The rest was nice, it was an enjoyable read, but it did not make me want to borrow another one of her books, unfortunately.
The Lochmore Legacy Series:
– His Convenient Highland Wedding by Janice Preston
– Unlaced by the Highland Duke by Lara Temple
– A Runaway Bride for the Highlander by Elisabeth Hobbes

While fantasy is not my favorite genre, I don’t mind it as long as it’s what I’m expecting when I pick up a novel (such as the Pratchett books I’ve read). I don’t think I’d enjoy it popping up in a book like this.
