The Red Trade Menace by H R Knickerbocker
The Red Trade Menace by H R Knickerbocker was published in 1931 and it contains the 24 articles he wrote as a series for which he received the Pulitzer Prize in 1931. These articles are about the first 5-year plan of the ussr. Thus, this book is relevant and interesting only for researchers.
I gave the book 2 stars mainly because there is a lack of proper engagement with the information and most of it is just uttering soviet propaganda as facts. The book does have some interesting pictures in it, so it would be worth flipping through it given the chance.

Clearly not one for me. I’ve found Pulitzer Prize material can be hit or miss.

It’s not badly written, just the topic is not relevant today for anyone but researchers. I don’t imagine someone would want to read about the first 5-year plan without having to do so. 😀 The photos though, those are really interesting.
The more I read about Pulitzer the more I dislike the prizes and their stance.
