Remember Me by Mary Balogh
Remember Me by Mary Balogh is the second book in the Ravenswood series. This is the story of Lady Philippa Ware and Lucas Arden, the heir to the Duke of Wilby. The plot is simple, an enemies-to-lovers kind of story. It was ok and I gave it 5 stars mainly because of the reasons he had to say something nasty about her, which created a negative view of him, but, after the explanation, it made sense. There are a bit too many references to the wider family in the story and I hope this will not continue in the rest of the series. The ending was not as realistic and too “pink” for my taste, but it was only in the last few pages and these stories are supposed to be “pink-ish” anyway.

The story goes like this, Lady Philippa Ware, the sister of the Earl who was the main character in the first book, is affected by the scandal in her family. When she finally makes her debut in London, she meets there, again, Lucas. Philippa develops a strong relation with his sister and they have to interact with each other often.
I like that the secret he had to reveal was a dark one, to explain the way he acted. All the part about that secret was very nicely done. If I talk about that it would be a spoiler, so I will not, which is a shame, because that would be the main thing I would talk about with someone who already read the book. I think the book is worth reading, with the small caveat about the too-bright, too-rosy ending.

I like your description of the ending as “pink”. That makes perfect sense! 😄

Yes, pink was the best word for the ending. I’m happy it works. 😄
