Mary’s household tips & tricks by Mary Berry
Mary’s household tips & tricks by Mary Berry. Your guide to happiness in the home. I’ve made a post about the tricks I’ve learned from the book, see here.
Now I’m going to talk about the book and why I think it would be a great gift or treat. First of all, the writing style is wonderful, easy to read, a delight. The illustrations are beautiful, Pinterest-worthy pictures with white walls and stylish decorations.

‘This book is a collection of skills I’ve learned for running a home. Gleaned from years of practical experience, along with all the hints that friends and family have imparted to me, I hope it will be a helping hand’ as Mary Berry says. It’s the sort of book I would have loved to receive a “few” (many) years ago, when I first moved on my own and suddenly I had to do all sorts of things I had no idea how to do.
It starts from the kitchen with freezer tips, how to organize the food, and cleaning. I liked how to make my own cleaning products with everyday cupboard items. She talks about laundry, gardening, and flowers. The last chapter is about entertaining.
