All We Want for Christmas by Phillipa Ashley
All We Want for Christmas by Phillipa Ashley is the second book I read by her. The first one was Christmas on the little Cornish Isles, which I took by chance from the library. I borrowed this one because it was published this year and was Christmassy, without realising I read one of her books before. Now I hope I will remember to borrow another one of her books for next Christmas, as I really enjoyed All We Want for Christmas.

The story takes place at Ravendale Castle, a private property managed by an elderly couple, located in the Lake District. Lara is working on a winter lights trail, as a way of raising funds to support the everyday expenses of the castle. She has various ideas on different ways to raise funds. Flynn is a newly hired technical manager. He joined the team and he is busy doing many everyday chores, making sure the castle and the projects run smoothly.
I liked reading their story, with the backdrop of the castle. The family is presented nicely and the staff is fun and likeable. Their love story is beautiful and the twists and turns in the book make sense. I liked this book very much, I think it’s better than the other one I read. It is a Christmas themed romance novel, making it very appropriate for this period.

You know I don’t read a lot of romance, but this one does sound good. I like seasonal stories, too.

It was really good. I like romance this time of year and with the Christmas theme it was even better.
