Reclaimed by the Knight by Nicole Locke

Reclaimed by the Knight by Nicole Locke is the seventh book in the Lovers and Legends series. I stopped reading the previous book in the series, as it was not to her standard. I’m glad that I’ve decided to continue reading her books, as this one was really good.

Nicholas of Mei Solis appears in another one of her books, The Knight’s Scarred Maiden. He is the scarred knight which helped Rhain escape from the vengeance of Reynold of Warstone. Rhain doesn’t make an appearance in this book, but Reynold does and he is the main character in the last book of the series, Her Dark Knight’s Redemption. I’m so looking forward to reading that one too.

Nicholas left home to became a mercenary so he could raise funds to renovate his home and estate. Matilda was his first love, but after he left, she got married with Roger. When he returns, he finds out that Roger died and Matilda is with child. It’s a lovely story. I liked Nicholas, but Matilda is a bit too demanding for my taste, so I took half of star for this. Overall is a nice book, surely worth reading.

About the author: Nicole discovered her first romance novel in a closet, where her grandmother, the godmother in the romance black market, was hiding hundreds. Knowing her grandmother wouldn’t approve, Nicole hid in the closet to read them. It was only a matter of time before she was found out and given an offer she couldn’t refuse: enjoy them, but out in the living room please. Oh, and if she could go to the store and get a few more…. A few more? Nicole got two jobs.
She stopped reading romances at university, but she discovered them again when, at work, where another black market book swap occurred. Instead of swapping for another forgettable book, Nicole chose a romance (which she still reads). Now she writes romances too.
