Ravished by Amanda Quick

Ravished by Amanda Quick is a retelling of the classic tale, Beauty and the Beast. I just love this book, I think I’ve read it twenty times and I would gladly read it again. Miss Harriet Pomeroy needs him, Gideon Westbrook, Viscount St. Justin, because a gang of thieves are using the caves on his ancestral home to hide their loot. She is using those caves to explore and search for fossils.

She is obsessed with her passion and she is also quirky and fun. Her sister and aunt are down to earth and they try to guide her in society. He is called the Beast of Blackthorne Hall because of his scar and a scandal in his past. The plot thickens and has some twists and turns while they are in London.

The mystery is not predictable and this is why the book is so lovely. He has a dark past and he could have been a bit more dark or tormented, but I think he is portrayed just right. I highly recommend this book. It also made me curious to find fossils and I do plan to go on a fossil hunting trip someday.
